with fresh food and great value.

Creating disruptive competition
For the Tesco Extra hypermarket in Accrington, our approach centred on creating a more intuitive and seamless shopping experience. We transformed underutilised areas by introducing destination "hero" zones and enhanced the "totally fresh" concept to strengthen brand credibility. We also integrated the pharmacy and opticians into a unified "wellbeing hero" zone, establishing focal points that highlight service expertise throughout the store. Additionally, we emphasised the ease of self-service checkouts and the "scan as you shop" option for a more efficient shopping process.
The redesign incorporated all elements of the store's interior, including the merchandising system, lighting, and brand communications.
