The management executive of Interstep asked us to update their brand identity and create packaging design solutions for a range of new products intended for launch in the EU market. Location: St Petersburg, Russia.

A leading manufacturer of electronic accessories

“Interstep”, a leading manufacturer of accessories for gadgets in the Russian market. Our brand team was tasked with creating a new Master brand for the company and design solutions for the new collection, which the company intended for launch at the EU market.
 
During the project, our brand and innovations team, together with the “Interstep” project management, engaged in thorough research. Analysing the competitive environment, the market for mobile devices and pricing. We also looked into the design and fashion trends. Accessories and specifications for new materials through benchmarking and WGSN data.
During the research phase, several categories of accessories were considered for manufacture. This included laptop bags and cases, tablet and smartphone cases, with the comparative analysis between the different UK and German markets.
 
The new brand identity was to convey the values of reliability, stability and diversity coupled with emotion and flexibility. The style of the new collection was to be consistent with the newly developed brand identity.
The project resulted in creating two applications of the brand. The first applied to products, and the second applied to packaging and other promotional material; visualizations for the selected collection and direction of product design, as well as the initial concept for the packaging. The collections included male, female and unisex directions, featuring designs from contemporary classic to trendy, with various materials used including textured leather, tweed and neoprene.
